veterans 🇺🇸 What an incredible start to the day at Converse Elementary! 🇺🇸 Our Veterans Day Car Parade this morning was a huge success! The students and staff brought such wonderful energy, waving flags and showing their heartfelt appreciation for our veterans. A special and heartfelt shout-out goes to two of our very own staff members who served our country: Ms. George and Ms. Hollis-Celestine! Thank you both for your service and for everything you do for our students every single day. We are so proud to have you as part of the Converse family! We hope everyone has a meaningful and reflective Veterans Day tomorrow. Thank you to all who have served! #VeteransDay #ConverseElementary #ThankYouForYourService

📢 Construction Update: Converse Elementary! 🚧

We've got exciting progress to share on the construction at Converse Elementary!

Our campus leadership team recently had an awesome tour under the building to check out the work firsthand. The team at Bandy Construction has been busy with some serious excavation! They've dug out hundreds of truckloads of dirt from both under the building and the back parking lot area.

We appreciate everyone's patience as we continue to move forward with this project to enhance our school!

What an incredible morning! 🎉 We sent off Ms. Murray's and Ms. Diaz's amazing students to the Special Olympics in style! The entire school lined the hallways for a high-energy cheering section as our athletes paraded through.

The energy and support were electric! We are so proud of these students for showing off their skills. Go team! 🥇

The NED Show assembly was fantastic this week! 🎉 Johnny used incredible yo-yo tricks and humor to deliver a super important message about resiliency to our Kindergarten through 5th graders.

Remember what NED stands for:

Never Give Up!

Encourage Others!

Do Your Best!

Let's keep those messages going at home! Ask your student about their favorite trick and what they learned about "bouncing back" when things get tough. 🍎

Our Open House was so much fun! From Kona Ice to free school supplies there was so much available for families. The most important part was building the parent-school partnership to help each of our students meet their potential.

In Ms. Hernandez's 3rd grade class students make graphs showing their test results. In Mr. Rangel's 5th grade class students set goals for how they can continue to grow using their current test results. These activities help students to know where they are academically and continue to grow. At Converse Elementary, we grow kids!
