Dear Parents and Guardians,

2025-2026 STAAR Spring Administration dates have been scheduled during a 3-Week Window from April 7th - April 21st. Please assist your JLA student by reviewing the STAAR dates. They will need to arrive to JLA by 8:00 A.M. with their Chromebook and Charger. We high recommend you schedule or reschedule appoinments if your childe is eligible to test any of these days (i.e. doctors, dentists, or court appointments). If you have any questions, feel free to contact your Campus Test Coordinator, Dr. de la Pena at 210-662-2411.

Reminder: JLA will have Saturday School tomorrow from 8:00-12:00. Parents, please speak with your student about attend for required loss of credit because each student received a personal invite with how many hours they to earn back their course credit. Happy International Pi Day! Today, March 14 (3/14), we celebrate the mathematical constant π 𝜋 (pi), which represents the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter, approximately 3.14159.

Reminder: time will spring forward 1 hour. This means we will have longer day time. Enjoy the day time ahead and be safe by wearing sunscreen.

JLA Family and Students, We will not be in session on Monday. It is a Teacher workday. Students can work on their assignments or Edgenuity activities (test are done on campus) from home. Graduation Cap/Gown deadline is FEBRUARY 24, 2026! If you are planning to graduate with the Class of 2026, please order your cap/gown by the deadline.

JLA Parents and Students,
We will be taking the JISD Interim Assessment 2026 starting next week on Tuesday, February 10th. We ask that ALL of our scheduled test takers arrive on campus by 8:00 AM with their charged Chromebook and charger. We ask that our PM students come to the morning session by 8:00 to be administered their desginated Interim STAAR test. These Interim STAAR assessments will provide important data for academic strengths and weaknesses in preparation for the real STAAR assessments in April.
Please read the TIPS page so that our students are better prepared to do their very best. These assessments will benefit each of our students reach their high school graduation requirements because they will be increasing their knowledge and comprehension for the actual state assessment.

We ask that you log into your Skyward account and accept notifications because our mass communication system is a critical tool to communicate with our families and students. It is important that we have accurate contact information to ensure timely communication.
Please open the attachments for instructions to log into the JISD app. The app can be downloaded for Apple or Andriod. Once you have the JISD app, you will want to open the settings to select Judson Learning Academy to receive notifications. There are a lot of upcoming events and important dates that both famiies and students will need and want in the near future.

JLA Penguins,
We are having Saturday School on January 31, 2026 from 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. You will be able to prepare for the STAAR EOC USH with Mr. Reeve. You will have the opportunity to work on your coure work to get ahead. You will be able to make up seat time for attendance. It is a benefit to you to attend Saturday School. Those of you that owe hours for attendance are required to be present for Saturday School because you need to earn your course credits back. Again, it is a benefit to earn back course grades. We look forward to seeing our Penguins tomorrow morning.

Please watch the weather on any local news channel and stay informed throughout the weekend. We do not have Saturday School tomorrow due 100% to icy rain and dropping temperatures. Sunday will be in the 20's. Judson ISD will decide school for Monday, January 26 through the local news channels by 5:15 AM. Please check your personal emails for any communication about school on Monday due to the weather changes.

In observance of Martin Luther King Day we are not in session. We will return to our regular schedule on Tuesday, January 20th. We hope to all of our JLA Penguins on during their normal session time.
