We had a scary good time at Spooky Science Night. Thank you to Communities in Schools for supplying some amazing STEM kits and to the JISD Curriculum Department for letting us set up the Star Lab, an inflatable planetarium.

In Mr. Rangel's 5th grade class students set goals for how they can continue to grow using their current test results. These activities help students to know where they are academically and continue to grow. At Converse Elementary, we grow kids!

To all the grandparents who joined us today at Converse Elementary, thank you for making our Grandparents' Day celebration so special! Seeing all of you play games and create memories with our students was truly wonderful. We appreciate you for being such an important part of their lives.

We are excited to see so many Grand Friends tomorrow (September 5) for Games with Grand Friends!
If you are coming for a PK-1st grade student the event will be from 8:15 - 9:15 AM. If you are coming for a 2nd - 5th grader the event will be from 9:30 - 10:30 AM. If you have students in both groups you will be coming for both events.
Grand Friends can enter through the front of the back of the school. If you did not pre-check, please bring your phone and a photo ID. If you did pre-check, please bring your printed badge and a photo ID.
If you sent in the reservation slip, students will be waiting in the cafeteria. If you did not send in a reservation slip, please be patient while we call for the student to come down.
As a reminder, no children who do not already attend Converse Elementary may attend this event. Grand Friends may not accompany their students back to the classroom or be in other parts of the school. If you are taking a student out of school they must be checked out through the front office.
